Richard Peacock

Richard Peacock is an artist working with screen print, linocut and woodcut. His imagery combines elements of geometrical abstraction, op and pop art. In his screen prints the image is constructed using building blocks of colour, shape, rhythm and pattern. The stencils for his screen prints come from a variety of sources: sometimes basic geometric shapes, but often recycled pieces of packaging. His recent "furniture" prints derive from drawings made during the COVID lockdown. In August 2024 Richard launched Running Jump Print Workshop. The workshop has 3 presses and provides facilities for artists to work with screen printing, intaglio and relief printing. It also runs a small number of printmaking courses. Running Jump has more than 30 members, many of whom will be showing their work during the N22 Open Studios.
