Kate Trafeli

Kate Trafeli is an American-born, naturalised British mixed-media artist, lecturer and curator, based in North London. She brings a background of international/outsider experiences to her paintings, objects and sculptures. Born in small town Washington State, after receiving a BA in Fine Art and English Literature, she continued to develop her practice in Boston, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. She then moved to Northern Italy and further developed her work for 10 years there, prior to moving to London. Trafeli's diverse exhibition history encompasses gallery, art fair, and independent solo and group shows in the UK, Japan, Italy, and the United States. Trafeli is a guest tutor in abstract painting twice a year at the highly regarded arts centre, Coombe Farm Studios, in Devon. She is represented by a number of UK-based galleries.
