Emma J Brown

Emma J Brown is a London-based artist originally from West Yorkshire. Her practice spans drawing, casting, digital manipulation, and 3D printing, exploring the fragmented human form in dialogue with natural and digital environments. Working with materials such as concrete, rock, and textured surfaces, she creates works that reflect cycles of erosion, transformation, and hybridity.

A 2024 graduate of Central Saint Martins (BA Fine Art), her final-year project, The Becoming, examined the shifting boundaries between body and environment, challenging human-centred perspectives and proposing an expanded sense of embodiment that acknowledges the agency of non-human forces. The Becoming continues as a long-term, material-led investigation—an evolving project that adapts through process, repetition, and experimentation.
