Sophie O'Neill

Costume Designer Sophie O’Neill grew up in London, graduating from the London College of Fashion in 2012 with a 1st Class Honours degree in Costume Design for Performance. 

Sophie first established herself as a Costume Buyer and Assistant Costume Designer working on several internationally acclaimed and award winning feature films such as ‘Jawbone’ for Thomas Napper, ‘Stan & Ollie’ for Jon S. Baird and ‘The Selfish Giant’, which marked her first collaboration with Clio Barnard.

Following Sophie’s more recent credits as Assistant Costume Designer on ‘The King’s Man’ for Matthew Vaughn, ‘The Secret Garden’ for Marc Munden and ‘Mamma Mia! Here we go Again’ for Ol Parker, she has designed her first feature, the much anticipated ‘Ali & Ava’. Collaborating once again with director Clio Barnard, ‘Ali & Ava’ stars Adeel Akhtar and Claire Rushbrook and has been produced by Moonspun Films, BBC Films and the BFI.
