I work within the medium of drawing, painting and computer-generated images.

I am interested in using random associations to create images which allow meaning to be generated by the viewer.

These associations are psychological as well as referencing art history and contemporary culture.

The process for making the works will start with randomly placed marks. The shapes suggested by these initial states are further modelled.  These initial simple marks suggest representational elements which are then refined until the final image is created.

The intention is to define a process whereby images are generated within a set of simple parameters which direct the progression of the images but do not dictate the end result.
